Love From Lochee mural

In pend between Lochee High Street and Camperdown Street. Love Lochee commission in collaboration with Open/Close Dundee. Funded by the local community regeneration forum, Sophie's design was selected by public vote. Info from artist: "My submission takes inspiration from the industrial architecture of the Lochee area - creating abstract forms through shape, form and line seen in structures such as Cox's stack, Camperdown Works and the Tay Rail Bridge. My design also features subtle nods to the local history of the area - elements of the music/clubbing scene through the years, jute production and football. My design is vibrant in colour - a suitable contrast to the background wall and in keeping with the brief to be welcoming and bright - the blue and yellow are also a nod to the local football team Lochee United."
