Green Wind 3

Commissioned as a Percent for Art piece for the Castle View housing development by D J Laing Homes. Completed in 2019 but installation delayed until 2022. Version of a sculpture installed at The Tump, Ravenswood, Ipswich in 2006. A wind-reactive sculpture with wings made of coloured stainless steel that turn 360 degrees in the wind. The colour of the stainless steel is created by an oxide layer on the polished surface of the material. The main group of sculptures is at the Berwick Drive entrance to Aberlady Crescent, while a second group is nearby on Castleview Park.
