Description
Commissioned by Hillcrest Housing Association & George Martin Builders. Info from METALtech: "The project features a Corten screen with bronze-coloured mesh that incorporates abstract public artwork. This structure includes a mild steel support frame and integrated openable screens, providing access to a bin store and bicycle store. The artwork includes reference to The Great Fire of Dundee. This is a fire that broke out in 1906 within Trades Lane and was one of the most destructive fires within Dundee. This left a significant mark on the city’s past. Today, artwork stands in its place, commemorating the event."
