Description
Based on Japanese haiku. Mosaic fish continue on ground. Conceived as a way of renewing a popular but dilapidated feature of the playpark, the ‘holey wall’, dating back at least to the 1970s. Originally plain concrete, it was painted sometime in the late 90s. The Broughty Ferry Environment Project team worked with local volunteers to create the mosaic and the ironwork was then added by Little Ironies (Joanna Moody) as a creative way of preventing children climbing through the circular holes and thus damaging the mosaic. Unveiled 2006.
