Description
Edinburgh-based Artists Collective (Paul Grime, Tim Chalk and David Wilkinson) created the initial feasibility study that led to the pioneering Blackness Public Art Programme. This mural was funded by the Scottish Development Agency as a one-off commission in 1982, prior to the start of the Programme. The building was then Hawkhill Health Centre. Saltire Society Art in Architecture Awards High Commendation. Painted with liquid plastic paints system. Wall initially prepared by BEAT. Research for mural content done by pupils at Blackness Primary School.
